Work with Me
I’ve been a professional writer and traditionally published author for fifteen years. I’ve received multiple six-figure+ book deals with Penguin Random House, Sourcebooks, and Hachette/Grand Central, in addition to collaborating on fiction projects with film and TV production companies Warner Bros. and Temple Hill. In recent years, I was a judge for the Center for Fiction Fiction Fellowship and the Black List Unpublished Manuscript Fellowship.
All along I’ve mentored aspiring authors in a variety of ways. My hope is to help writers get to the heart of their story, acquire the best tools to finish their project, and to demystify the publishing process so you can achieve your goals. I like to think that if I could do it, then so can you, and I’d love to show you how!

COACHING
$150 per one-hour video call
I’ll help you brainstorm your novel idea, develop your plot, craft compelling characters, and unlock solutions to help you write.
I’ll answer your questions about the publishing process, will discuss your agent wishlist and querying strategy, or any other writing/publishing topic that’s on your mind.

DEVELOPMENTAL EDITING
$1,750 to $3,000 for the editing of a full manuscript (up to 110,000 words)
The developmental edit includes a 5-7 page editorial letter assessing your premise, plot, characters, themes, and pacing. It also includes (typically) hundreds of in-manuscript comments. (depending on manuscript length).
Assessment of a partial manuscript is available. Quote available upon request.
If you’re interested in this service, I’ll ask to see the first five to ten pages and the full word count to provide you with a quote.
Typical turnaround is 3 to 5 weeks, to be confirmed once I have accepted your project.
QUERY LETTER EVALUATION
$175 (query only) - $350 (query plus first ten pages)
This includes in-line comments, tracked edits, and general notes about your query (and first ten pages, if applicable) in a word document. Plus I’ll read a revised version of the same query (once) after you’ve incorporated my feedback.
Typical turnaround is 3 to 5 business days, to be confirmed once I have accepted your project.
COACHING AND EDITING
3 or 6-month commitment - Price upon request
A combination of coaching and editing is available to very select clients. This includes coaching calls and the reading and editing of pages you send me every two weeks or every month.
Contact me to discuss what frequency feels right for you. I only take up to two clients a month for this service.
Payment Terms
For calls, payment is due on booking for new clients. If you’re a regular client, payment must be completed at least 24 hours before our scheduled call.
For query letter evaluations, payment is due upon booking.
For full manuscripts, 25% is due upon booking, 50% when you send the manuscript, and the final 25% before I complete the edit.
